A 14 min interview I did on Fresno Forward TV talking about sound therapy.

I will ask before treatment what your intentions are what is going on in life before starting.  Then you lay down on a massage table fully clothed in a darkened room with colored lights listening to beautiful alpha wave music. Music is played that allows the patient's brain waves to relax.  An infratonic sound machine from sound vitality called the Soni Calm PM  which produces alpha sound waves (which is the first state of sleep or meditation) is placed on the shoulder near the head or belly of the patient.  You lay in the room with the music and light and crystals for 15 min or so.  Then I come in a place tuning forks on your body starting at the feet legs hips ribs heart head for 8-10 mins.  I then end with some crystal singing bowls to aid and assist the body and energetic bodies.  I then leave the room for 10 min for you to come back from your journey.  So people just feel relaxed, others see colors, visions, guides angels, some get spiritual aha's and more connection to their higher selves.  A sound session lasts 40-60 minutes.

 Tuning forks are placed on different parts of the body. Crystals are placed in the hands and different parts of the body to aid and assist the energy balancing of the body.  Modern physics postulates that matter is imprisoned solidified light, whereas light is energy in a free state. The highly organized state of matter of the quartz crystal allows photons to move without being trapped and condensed as in other forms of matter. The special alpha wave music, crystals, light therapy, a Soni Calm Machine (Alpha Wave therapy to help you relax and reduce stress)  and tuning forks, crystal singing bowls evoke feelings of peace and serenity, a starting place for letting the energies amplified by these tools to transport you to greater levels of awareness and perception. You may experience insights and release of specific personal issues and memories. At times, you may have feelings of warmth, movement, tingling or expansion in various centers of your body. Your awareness may extend beyond yourself to transpersonal states of higher consciousness—or, you may fall asleep! Each individual is certain to have a unique experience necessary to his or her own healing and alignment process.

The tuning forks that I use in my practice are calibrated to 136.10 Hz, which is C#. These precision instruments are made in Germany.  They are placed upon different acupuncture points of the body. This helps the body and energy systems entrain to C#. It helps balance meridians (energy lines) and the chakras (here is Carolyn Myss video of the explanation of the chakras www.youtube.com/watch). If we have one or more meridians or chakra's out of balance or tune, then this can over time lead to physical, emotional or mental disease. Keeping our seven chakra's aligned and singing with the harmony of the universe that they are meant to have.  This can lead to a sense of health and balance, which can improve our lives on many different levels. Body, mind and spirit are one. 

The basic principle of Sound Healing is that of resonance; every object is in a state of vibration and therefore creates sound. This includes the various parts of our body, such as our organs, muscles, bones, etc. If these parts of our body are vibrating at their normal, healthy frequency, we call this state "health". If a portion of our body begins to vibrate at a frequency which is not harmonious to us, we call this "disease". It is possible to use sound to project the correct resonant frequency of that part of the body which is vibrating out of harmony back into the body, causing it to return to its natural frequency and return to a state of health. This projection of sound can be done through tuning forks, music or through using the human voice. Not everyone vibrates to the same frequency.  I think the key ingredient is a quote from sound healer Jonathan Goldman "Intent + Frequency = Healing"  This is the key to all healing no matter what tools or modality you use. Also the patient must have three things to aid and assist their healing as Adam Dreamhealer states:

1. Positive attitude

2. Being open and receptive to the healing treatment

3. A willingness to make a life change

He states " If you get healed it is your own darn fault "

These I feel are important for a patient to have a successful outcome.

After a treatment, a small percentage will experience what is known as a healing reaction. There is nothing to be feared from this, as it is merely the body's way of cleansing itself. This may be experienced in different ways. Some may have headaches, while others feel tearful and experience emotions coming to the surface. There can sometimes be a temporary worsening of symptoms, while the old pattern is worked through.  It is important to rest and drink plenty of water. Simply allow the feelings to pass through, realizing that this is a necessary part of the healing process. Such a reaction rarely lasts more than a few hours to a day or so. Afterwards, you will feel a lot better.

The healer does not do the healing directly. The healer simply creates an efficient connection in order to facilitate the healing.

We also have other choices that influence our health. We can choose to ignore our own energy systems or we can dedicate time to understanding them. A healthy energy flow pattern will help each of us. To achieve this, everyone should strive to maximize his or her potential. When you are being your best self, the positive energy will radiate out in waves of healing that will affect everyone and everything, well beyond your conscious awareness.

These pictures were taken while a xylophone was used over a period of fourteen minutes playing the Ionian Scale (nine musical notes C-D-E-F-G-A-B- and C and D from the next octave above.) "The structure quickly disorganized. Fourteen minutes was enough time to explode the cell when I used these nine different frequencies", says Maman. The most dramatic influence on the cells came from the human voice when Maman sang the same scale into the cells. In this experiment the cancer cells experienced a total explosion within nine minutes. "The human voice carries something in its vibration that makes it more powerful than any musical instrument: consciousness…. It appeared that the cancer cells were not able to support a progressive accumulation of vibratory frequencies and were destroyed," reports Maman.

His findings in the laboratory setting urged Maman to continue his study, but this time he chose to work with two breast cancer patients. Each woman committed to tone for three-and-a-half hours per day over a period of a month. In one case, the tumor vanished completely. The second woman underwent surgery to remove the tumor. Her surgeon reported that the tumor had reduced in size considerably, and had literally dried up. She recovered fully from the surgery and made a complete recovery. Maman’s explanation for this incredible phenomenon was substantiated by the photographs he had taken during his case studies. He says, "the cancer cells show evidence of cell nuclei incapable of maintaining their structure as the sound wave frequencies attack the cytoplasmic and nuclear membranes." The vibration of sound literally transforms the cell structure. As the voice intensifies and time passes with no break in sound, the vibratory rate becomes too powerful, and the cells cannot adapt or stabilize themselves. Therefore, the cell dies because it is not able to accommodate its structure and synchronize with the collection of sound. They cannot live in an atmosphere of dissonance and they cannot become resonant with the body. Therefore, the tumor cells destabilize, disorganize, disintegrate, explode and are ultimately destroyed in the presence of pure sound.
